
As a 3rd grade school assignment, Isaac was asked to make a MONEY TREE. He started by drawing the trunk. I loved the shape of the branches so much that I had to scan the drawing before he covered it up with "dollar" bills.

He colored the grass and the image looked even better.

He added sky to make it even better.

Finally, it was time to add the "leaves" (or money). Rather than using the little copied one-dollar bills that his teacher gave him, Isaac TRACED both sides of a real $100 bill. I scanned the image, arranged a page with many smaller-than-life-size copies, and printed them on green paper. He pasted them to the branches like leaves.

Here is the front of the $100 bill that he traced. He spent quite a while trying to get every detail right.
